Deliberately unscalable.
We take on four houses at a time. That figure is the constraint everything else here depends on — it is what lets a superintendent be on your site rather than dividing himself between a dozen.
We decline more work than we take. A house on a parcel we think is wrong, a schedule that cannot be built to the standard, an owner who wants the lowest number: those are all a no, and saying so in the first week costs everyone less than saying it in the eighth month.
Custom homes.
The whole house, from the first walk on the land to the systems briefing after handover. One contract, one superintendent, one number to call.
A site review before you buy.
We walk the parcel, read the survey and the setbacks, and tell you what it will cost to build what you have in mind on it — including when the answer is that it will not work. It is the cheapest hour you will spend on the project.
Renovation, selectively.
We take a small number of renovations each year, usually on houses we built or houses worth the trouble. The same arrangement applies — one superintendent, one open budget, and a frank answer early about what the existing structure will and will not allow.
Before you get in touch.
Tell us about the land.
If you have a site — or you are still looking — the earlier we see it, the more we can do with it.
